JOSEPH KEMP / BIO

I can do something like that.

20 years in graphic design • 10 as an art director • 5 freelance • 3 as a communications director

freelance publication design / print and web ads / logos and collateral

Photography and Photoshop illustrations \ drawings \ paintings \ vector illustrations for print and web

After an unfinished 80+ credit journey at Drexel University followed by a dozen years self-employed as a house painter, an Associate's degree in Graphic Design/Illustration got me into print publishing. After a few years, I became the art director of the Jewish Exponent, where I worked for more than ten years. Over the years, I took on more challenges: writing, illustrating and photographing for the various publications for which I was responsible. Currently, I am the Director of Communications for The IDEAL School of Manhattan where my responsibilities are varied and rewarding.

On the side, I write and draw comics and cartoons, I paint pictures, I create print and web ads for a number of clients, and take on jobs as varied as portraiture, logo and collateral design, murals, and animation.
